• Atlas Land Surveys is looking for an Administrative and Surveyor Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the company and assisting the Professional Land Surveyor with surveying tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Answer phone calls and take messages from clients.

    • Serve as a liaison between client and company.

    • Interact with clients, listen to concerns, and provide information.

    • Gather information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepare written summaries of data when needed.

    • Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings, and appointments for manager.

    • Maintain office supplies and coordinate maintenance of office equipment.

    • Maintain a system for recording expenses.

    • Maintain filing systems as assigned.

    • Gather survey records and ownership information through cadastral websites.

    • Prepare certificate of surveys, plats, engineering surveys, and corner records from survey data provided by the Professional Land Surveyor.

    • Successfully prioritize and perform multiple projects, tasks, and assignments while ensuring their effective and timely completion.

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    • An associate degree in business, management, or related field.

  • Atlas Land Surveys is seeking a Survey Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the Professional Land Survey staff with daily survey-related tasks and assist in completing project research, document preparation, and all tasks associated with fieldwork.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform cadastral surveys, boundary surveys, legal research, ALTA surveys, topographic and as-built surveys, and construction staking.

    • Read and understand survey notes, maps, deeds, and legal ownership documents.

    • Maintain and prepare survey equipment and survey vehicle.

    • Load and unload trucks with survey equipment and supplies.

    • Work in a team environment as well as independently.

    • Adapt to changing work priorities, understand and follow directions.

    • Perform fieldwork in remote areas of the outdoors.

    • Use radio communication equipment and deploy handheld tools to locate and set property corners.

    • Use tools to dig property corners and pound survey stakes.

    • Rely on a general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish moderate goals.

    • Take notes and complete timecards using Microsoft Office Software.
